Cherice Ledbetter Ward, PT, DPT, CMTPT
Cherice is a skilled Physical Therapist who love getting patients better. Cherice graduated with a Bachelor degree in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland-College Park. She later earned her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Hampton University.
Cherice's interest in physical therapy was started when she took an anatomy class in high school and discovered her fascination with the human body and how it worked. Her enthusiasm was further nurtured as she studied human movement as a kinesiology major at the University of Maryland; and her passion for the physical therapy profession was reinforced during her graduate studies at Hampton University and clinical experiences. Cherice has clinical experience in a variety of clinical settings including acute care/hospital, skilled nursing facility, sports medicine, and outpatient orthopedics. She loves the outpatient orthopedic clinical setting best. Cherice's clinical interests include post-surgical rehabilitation.
Cherice's treatment approach emphasizes one-on-one patient-therapist time targeting her patients' specific impairments, followed by performance of therapeutic exercises to be performed in-clinic and at home which reinforce her hands-on techniques. She is committed to treating in a compassionate and caring manner, and based on the latest clinical evidence to ensure that her patients receive the relief they need to return to their daily function unrestricted. Accordingly, she is currently a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and its orthopedic specialty section.
